Introducing Vi by visorPRO®'s StoryWriter™ Assistant

For most equipment dealerships, service documentation is where revenue quietly slips away. Rushed notes, inconsistent formatting, and missing details lead to warranty claim delays, reduced approval rates, and service history that’s hard to learn from later.

Vi by visorPRO addresses this directly with the StoryWriter™ Assistant, an AI-powered feature that converts technician notes into complete, professional service stories in seconds. Launched in April 2026, the Story Writing Assistant is now available to dealerships using Vi.

How It Works
Technicians capture notes the way that fits the moment (voice-to-text, typed input, or screenshots) and the StoryWriter™ Assistant instantly transforms them into high-quality service stories with a clear complaint, cause, and correction. Prompts can be configured to match dealership and manufacturer standards and terminology, and all inputs remain editable and stored alongside the final output. Technicians stay in control of every record while AI handles the heavy lifting of structuring it consistently.

“Service teams shouldn’t have to choose between getting the job done and documenting it properly,” said Brock Moir, Chief Product Officer of Vi by visorPRO. “This feature helps dealerships improve story quality, strengthen warranty submissions, and build more valuable service data.”

Why It Matters
Documentation has historically been one of the weakest links in the service workflow. A technician with the skills to fix a complex issue often doesn’t have the time or training to write it up in a way that holds up under review. That gap costs dealerships in measurable ways: warranty claims rejected for incomplete write-ups, and institutional knowledge that can’t be searched, shared, or reused across the team. The StoryWriter™ Assistant turns this weakness into a strength. Dealerships gain:

  • Revenue Impact: Stronger warranty claims with more complete, defensible write-ups.
  • Efficiency: Less time and effort to create, review, and finalize service stories.
  • Data Quality: Consistent, detailed service history that improves diagnostics, quoting, and future repairs.

By strengthening documentation at the point of service, the StoryWriter™ Assistant helps dealerships capture more value from every job, turning everyday work orders into a scalable knowledge asset.
